Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Level:Easy
  • Yield:2 dozen cookies
  • Total:45 min
  • Active: 20 min

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars in a mixing bowl, mixing until pale yellow and light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Mix in the eggs one at a time, and then the vanilla until combined.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a separate mixing bowl. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips. Portion 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and roll together to form a ball, spacing the dough balls 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake until the edges just start to brown, 12 to 14 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Hello! We want to say that we love love the taste and get tons of compliments on these cookies! Always super moist and light and just sweet enough! We do have a question however, we continuously get way more than 24. At most we've gotten another 24 which seems very odd. We don't know why as the measurements are spot on. I even lessened the amount of flour by a tad. We were thinking less butter, but then I said no because I still want the great moisture. Any suggestions Kelsey??? The size we are using is the number 40 scoop which is the 2tbp suggested size...

Kelsey, I made these cookies yesterday and they came out great! They look exactly like your photo, which is what attracted me to your recipe. Also, they are tender the next day, an important cookie trait to me. I appreciate that you write just a little bit about why your cookie is special, you are truthful :o) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A NEW CHOCOLATE CHIP FAVORITE RECIPE!

Used it, loved it! Used white whole wheat flour as that's all I had. Also only had a bag of mixed chocolate & peanut butter chips so used those. Used slightly larger scoop, made 2 dozen 3.5 inch cookies. Chilled dough, baked 6 at a time on parchment lined sheets.
